It's Not Too Late!



If you have been wanting to grow your own food but are off to a late start it's not too late. There are many vegetable seeds you can plant in July, August or September if you live in zones 6=9. Here are a few.

July- You can direct sow:Beets, Bush Beans, Carrots, Chard, Chinese Cabbage and summer squash.

Agust- Direct sow Peas for a fall crop. You can also start seeds indoors for long maturing fall crops such as brussel sprouts and other heading brassicas.

September= Direct sow: Leaf Lettuce, Chard, spinach, and radishes for a fall harvest.

October> Now is the time to plant your Garlic, Shallots and Perennial Onions.
